Gloria Steinem wrote the reason Monroe had no children was abortion. It is no strange thing considering how fantasy and reality clash in a world that equates women’s health to abortion access. In the 1960’s, this world of sexual liberation and free love began to spin out of control for many women, and so went the way of the leading sex symbol of this generation. Free love for one means the second pays twice. As Monroe’s writings become more popular they epitomize for many young women the distillation of her dream of becoming a mother, eviscerated.

What many don’t know is Dallas District Attorney, Henry Wade, was working for Lyndon Johnson’s friends at the time of the JFK assassination.
